THE SHADOW PRINCES: ZODIAC ACADEMY

 

The fourth book in ZODIAC ACADEMY series is THE SHADOW PRINCES.. I read the ebook version, and it was 771 pages long.. but i didn't even felt a little bit of bored.. which says a lot about this book.. and by far this is my favourite book in the series.. now lets talk about things in details..

1. lance blue romance is blossoming in this series.. although the relationship was quite strong in the previous book as well, but honestly it felt more lust than love... but in this book we get several moments of them talking and getting to know each other, which is very very romantic in my eyes.. there is a moment in which lance and darcy sit together in the couch in his living room, and they just talk.. they talk about his feelings and her feelings, which we didn't get to see very much previously.. there is another moment when lance takes darcy to a date in his ancestral home, and they spend the afternoon, eating together, and talking about their life, and just exploring his house.. these scenes were not present in the previous books, which shows the growth of the relationship between darcy and lance, and they way they are getting together.. 

also there is a mention of lance saying that  there might be a chance that darcy and lance is Elysian mates.. which we will get to know in the future..

2. the relationship between darius and tory was a turbulant one.. tory feels heavily attracted to darius but she ignores her feelings as lust, bcz he is strong and good looking, and darius feels really really attracted to tory, which he tries to explian but actually cannot, bcz he couldn't understand his own emotions.. 

the ups and downs, several times the fight between these two charecters create a turbulant feeling in the reader's heart... but we get some darius and tory moments... where darius kinda says that he wants tory, but not really, but tory never says that to him, which hurts him in return.. 

at the end of the series, they are given the chance to become each other's elysian mates, and although darius begs tory to say yes, and to be his, and to give him a chance, tory declines the bond and they become star crossed.. 

3. politically a lot of things are happening in solaria right at this time.. firstly the girls were gifted shadows too, as the fifth elements, which makes them the owner of all the elements in the world.. and the most powerful fae, and they even emerge as phoenixes, which is an extinct but most powerfull order. Lionel Acrux doesn't know about these, and things that he coerced the girls to forget everything, although they don't, and darius and lance decide to hide the powers of the girls from the world.. 

there is a new important charecter which gets introduced in this book, that is gabriel nox, one of the most important charecters in the series, futhless boys.. and gabriel becomes a nebular alley to both vegas and lance, and he plays important part in teaching vegas how to fly... 

5. this book is about the shadow princess, who is apparently Lance's sister, who supposedly died four years ago, when Lionel used her to trasfer shadows... Coming to know that his sister is alive, Lance tried to bring her back to the fae world, and to hide her somewhere, and darcy and tory support him in that, along with his best friend darius.. although darius and tory weren't able to help him on the day, but darcy and Orion together bring his sister back.. which doesn't result in anything good..

4. Tory vega is complete bullshit in this book.. she is just worst in this book, and sometimes i felt that how did she change so much in just a book.. we knew that tory was reckless, and careless and cynical, but it felt like that authors took it too far.... i hated it when tory didn't listen to her own sister and continued to use shadows alone.. and even more when she stopped talking to darcy, bcz darcy couldn't share her relationship secrets with her.. she didn't even tried talking to her, or to understand why her own sister is doing something, and she blamed everything on everyone else other than herself... let alone her stupid hookups with celeb altair.. 

CONCLUSION

at the end of the book, there is a huge cliffhanger and it is almost so thrilling, that it is really hard to stop and write a review, before starting the next book.. 

along with all it's flaws, this book is my favourite book by far.. the more the series progresses, we get more of a good view of the fae world and the intricacies of that world, and it gets more and more interesting.. 

i will definitely give this book a five star and would recommend any romantic fantasy reader to give this book a try..
