Group vs Individual
We are an individual and we also belong to a group.. But the concept of individuality and group is a total opposite of each other.. When we say someone is very individualistic, it means they like to do things by themselves, and being in a group means working together with everyone helping each other, to grow together..
But if we think scientifically we can’t find out which one is most important.. Does individuality or the sense of group come first to our ancestors?? We don’t know.. All we know is that our ancestors use to travel in a group.. They built everything together, and not one person in the past created this civilisation we live in..
There are also contrary beliefs if we compare humans with other animals.. As other animals tend to live in a group and work together.. But some people think that human is a developed or civilised animals, so we definitely have many things in common with them and other people think that we are humans and we should not compare ourselves with lower species, like animals.. This is a concept of another controversy..
But being in a group is seen accepted and the way to live in the eastern countries, where the group is given the biggest priority even before any person, or their feeling.. But I the west of the concept of individuality is famous.. People who travel and lived in these two types of countries definitely noticed the difference.. in the eastern countries, people are very formal and they behave according to the code of norms all the time, they don’t speak loudly or do anything which is against there culture mostly.. But in the west, people are loud, they do whatever they want to do (not illegal stuff) and they feel like doing.. Eastern societies are less diversified, and people, their clothes and everything look similar, but in the west everything is different, everybody is different, their food, clothes, speaking, they are very vibrant and dynamic..
Each person can have their preferences of which kind of society they like, which is fair and true, but I myself feel that we need both types of societies together.. Both societies have their problems and both have their plus points..
Here I am gonna make a large claim about these two types.. I somehow feel these two types describe the archetypes of masculine and feminine energy.. Although the characters ascribe to masculine and feminine varies in cultures, predominantly we can see that it has a guideline..
Masculine is always walking alone, are competitive, don’t like to cooperate and are loud, which all are the description of an individualistic society.. And feminine traits are adjustable, simple, loving others, being in a group and working together, nurturing etc, which are the description of a group-oriented society.. We can see that also in our ancestors that males lead the group mostly they are the only male in the group other than kids, but there were multiple females in a group… I myself prefer an individualistic society a little better than the other, but I love groups and institutions too..
As it is always said that people can’t survive with masculine and feminine together, so we need both the energies and both of the societies present.. Mainly you should do whatever you like doing, nobody should pose anything on the other person…
