Meaning of Life
When we think about our life we always say what we want to become.. But we never think that why we want to become that person.. Sometimes we think when it is too late to think, as we have already progressed so much in the direction that it is very hard to take any other path..
We are born this way.. Some like to think about everything around them and others tend to not think and just do.. It mostly depends on the inherent nature o the person and also on the environment they live in.. Some kids go out with their family and have fun and do stuff with their friends that they don’t have enough time to think about things, and others may stay at home, read or think about many things..
Most of us are a mixture of both but in different proportions.. When we think about things around us, we try to find the meaning in everything that is here.. And sometimes in life, we come to experience the existential question what is the meaning of life??
When I came to the question I felt I thought something fundamental and I should ask other people to think about it too.. But soon enough I found out that philosophers, scholars, scientists, and spiritual leaders have all been thinking the same thing from the beginning of human history.. Each and every person thinks of the meaning of life at some or other moments..
Although I didn’t find any meaning in life by myself, I heard and read many answers that are given to us by many people.. And I tried to take one concept and think does it resonate with me.. While I liked those concepts and tried my best to resonate with it, in some situations it isn't.. At that point, I had already realised that I couldn’t find the answer by myself.. So I continued reading and researching..
Finally, I came into a proposition which I didn’t like very much, but actually can be practised in everyday life..
Life has no meaning..
It is a negative sentence by the nature of it, but when we look deep into it, it is that we can see how optimistic it is..
We, humans, are always somehow attracted to structure.. We love structure to some extent.. Like we made society with lots of systems and principles and routines and disciplines.. So we also want a structure as an answer to our questions.. But we tend to forget that the universe in nature is without structure, angels, and discipline.. And if w need to find the answer of a question related to the universe, we must take the answer as it is given to us, not how we want it to be…
It is like water.. In itself, it can survive a life.. We can live by drinking water.. But the water has no meaning hidden in it, other than that we are drinking it.. It is giving us life.. Life is also like that.. Life makes our life.. We live it.. That is it.. There is nothing more about life anywhere in this world.. But like water, it can take any shape or form in this world.. Water can fit into any vessel and life also can, water flows through the path it gets to flow life also.. We can make various kinds of drinking or food or anything with water.. Still, water itself is not necessarily those things, like life.. We can ascribe many goals or purposes to life, but it must not be life itself..
This also gives us the freedom to live, the way we want to live.. Everything in this way is made by us, to make a taste of life, either sweet or sour, or spicy or pungent or anything else.. And we are here to taste everything and find what we like the most but not confuse that life itself..
