FOURTH WING : THE EMPYREAN BY REBECCA YARROS
After reading zodiac academy for several months, I was bored, and could not read even a single sentence of the series anymore... Which meant only one thing, I had to change my reading list.. Although I was never a tbr person, I have always been a mood reader, but I know to my core that, following a list and going strategically works for almost everything in my life.. So I went for something I was planning to read for a long long time.. I even bought the physical books for those stories, (not actually, my friend gifted those to me) and it was really in hype after the release of the Onyx Storm, the third book in the series...
Delving deep into a new fantasy series is what i love the most... But i was a little sckeptical, knowing that this world is about dragon riders, and i have already read enough of dragons in zodiac academy.. Still i forced myself to go with my tbr and my head above my heart...
And well, lets just say, my head always says the right things, and always is better than my heart..
This book starts with our main protagonist, Violet Sorrengail, going to join the academy for dragon riders, in the city of Basgiath... There is just a minute problem, that is she born weak with illness, which makes her bones fragile, and her skin and muscles extremely stretchy, her skin color pale, and the ends of her hair white.. She is extremely petite, and thin, and was preparing to join scribe quadrant, which is what we can call as scholars or scientists in our universe...
But her mother being the general of the city, and her father being dead, she is left with no option other than going for the dragon rider thingy, which will either end in her being a dragon rider, which she doesn't want to be, or her being dead, which I guess nobody wants to be..
It wouldn't be a spoiler to say that she survives, as there are three books already in the series, which imply she isn't going to die in the first book...
There are a lot of things happening in the world of ethe mpyrean series... The geography, the politics, the mythology and folklore, the dragons, the romance, the rising death roll, a lot of things...
But among all these, we get to see how a girl who isn't suppose to be where she is thrown at, survives, how there is a way to survive and thrive in any situation, if we are just willing to put in the effort and try our best...
All in all, I loved this book, and I am already reading the second book of the series, and I can honestly say, I dont want to know many charecters in the books, I hope that I dont have to know about many more charecters, and their hopes and dreams, only to see being killed..
I give this book ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ on the name of Maleek....
